Yes, I too have been bitten by the cute basket bug, and have been making the Trick or Treat baskets from the Where the Cold Wind Blows book from Blackbird Designs. These baskets will be swapped out and will eventually make their way to quilters all across the US and Australia. Can't wait until October to see the baskets I get back!
Its the end of the gardening season, so I have been harvesting the seed pods from my black-eyed susan flowers to plant again next summer. I love these flowers as they are so colorful, drought-resistant and long lived. I always plant a big patch outside my kitchen window to enjoy all summer long. I will have way too many seeds to use myself, so if you are one of the first ten friends who would like some seeds, please leave me a comment, and I'll get a packet of susan seeds off in the mail to you.

Lovely baskets! I have resisted that one so far :0) I have always admired those flowers but have never grown them - I'd love some of your seeds!!
Yay! More baskets! I loved your previous post of little baskets, and I love these! I've got the Trick or Treat baskets on my list of "to-do's" -- along with several others from the Cold Wind book!

You don't have to send seeds - I grow my own so already have them. Picture our flowers growing in baskets like these - pretty, yes? My sunflowers are really late this year. They're just now to the bud stage so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they open. We had such a wet spring that everything is late this year.
I love your baskets. I am making myself a basket quilt. I got a free 6 1/2" basket pattern off of the internet. I sure have enjoyed doing these. Now, I have to stop and finish my Christmas projects.

I love blackeye Susans, they are not perinials in your neck of the wood? Hum.... that's interesting. We have morning glory that are not perinials that self seed in front of our porch!

You may have already given your seeds away but just in case, I'd LOVE some. We need 'drought tolerant' here. And I started cutting those baskets out but have only stitched one (I think).
