Cherry Tree Block

Ah, such a pretty Spring this year.  Just finished the first block from the Beyond the Cherry Trees quilt.  Changed the pattern a bit, and I like it, but think it lacks the whimsy of the original.  But isn't that what makes quilting fun - its a creative ride all the way.

Very, very pretty block! I often feel complelled to change things too - sometimes I'm so happy with it but somtimes... :0)

I went to the website to see how the original block looked. I have been saving the patterns but have not started. I enjoyed seeing your block.

It's beautiful, I'm collecting the block patterns too, it's definitely on the list. I like the quirks in the quilt.

Hello, I'm really enjoying doing the Beyond the Cherry Trees quilt. I've downsized mine a bit to 14". Are you doing them the full 17"? Your applique work is all lovely. Michele
