Cherry Sprig Block

Just finished the cherry sprig applique block for the cherry cake quilt, and am deciding what type of applique blocks to make next.

The applique blocks are so fun to make as they will all be different, and I'm leaning towards a bird/cherry block or an urn/cherry block as the quilt may get a bit busy.  Would love to hear your ideas about future applique blocks to include!

Love your blocks so far. Doesn't look at all busy to me. The two applique block ideas you suggested sound great! Looking forward to seeing them executed.

I love what you have so far, it's going to be a gorgeous quilt. I'm not sure where your patterns are coming from but keep going the way you are.

Love those fabrics. I need to pull out my Spencer Museum blocks and see if I can do a pieced block to set them. I was thinking 9patch block perhaps.
